WASHINGTON--A conservative Republican lawmaker is expected to announce a bill next week that would dramatically scale back the ability of record labels, movie studios and others to use anticopying technology, according to a source familiar with the proposal.

The bill, authored by Sen. Sam Brownback, would regulate digital rights management systems, granting consumers the right to resell copy-protected products and requiring manufacturers to prominently disclose when anti-copying technology is being used. Click here to read the rest of the article.

Google Buys Blogger

Alright, the purchase of blogger by google must have added the extra stimulus needed for me to be able to post! Well, I guess not but things are working now. This should be fun, although I must add, it seems to be looking more and more like a blog :P Cheers to all. See you tomorrow Tuz, and please, whatever you do, don't work too hard, eh?

Got the archives working correctly. Got my Digital Blasphemy account working - if any of you want to use it the login is tuzy2k with my standard(TM) password. You all should know it - if you don't email me. Also - Jacob - it turns out that Waste program by Nullsoft - well theres a big stink about it over on Slashdot at this article. No bother - someone mirrored the Waste website and the source code so i downloaded it from there. I'll let you know if it works well.
