Oil Tanker Runs Aground in Alaska

Kenai, Alaska - An oil tanker ran aground Thursday after an ice floe broke it from its moorings at a refinery in Nikiski, Alaska, Coast Guard and refinery officials said.A few gallons of oil spilled into the Cook Inlet and the ship appeared intact, the Coast Guard said.

A spokesman for the Tesoro refinery said the 574-foot-long Seabulk Pride was being loaded with unleaded gasoline and another fuel product when the floe hit the ship Thursday morning.
