Hello, my name is Joel Housman.

I’m a front-end web developer and iOS software developer in the suburbs of Washginton DC. This is my personal site and it does not represent the viewpoints of my employer.

I work for a large environmental non-profit in Washington, DC. I live with my lovely wife in historic Old Town, Alexandria VA. And also with Mr. Darcy and Ms. Scarlet.

On this site, I often post things that I find on the internet that I like or write about subjects I’m passionate about. Some of these subjects are, but not limited to, Apple, technology, photography, politics (liberal), & generally anything that peaks my interest.

I’m originally from a rural county in south-western Virginia called Franklin. My family lives on Smith Mountain Lake and I return there as often as I can.
